Rahul Mukherjee is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at EnerMat Technologies. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Rahul has worked extensively in the field of energy storage systems, introducing nano-materials technology in state-of-the-art batteries and capacitors. He has published several papers in lithium ion batteries and electrochemical capacitors and holds six patent applications in this field. Rahul was the recipient of various awards and nominations in prestigious competitions such as the Collegiate Inventors Competition, Change the World Challenge and Lemelson-MIT. He also serves as a frequent reviewer for scientific articles and technology competitions.
Nikhil Koratkar is the co-founder and Chief Scientist at EnerMat Technologies. He is also the John A. Clark and Edward T. Crossan Endowed Chair Professor of Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Nikhil is a winner of the NSF CAREER Award (2003), AHS Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Award (2004), RPI Early Career Award (2005) and the Electrochemical Society's SES Young investigator Award (2009). Nikhil's expertise lies in nano-materials and energy storage systems and has raised ~$8 Million in research grants from several agencies including NSF, NYSERDA, ONR, ARO, AEC and Industry.
David Hessler is the CEO of EnerMat Technologies. He has an MBA and MSE from the University of Michigan and has been extensively involved with several cleantech companies. David has also served as a President of High Tech Rochester, a new business incubator, and has been a business mentor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence for NSF ICorps, NEXUS NY and NYSERDA. David brings a wealth of experience in terms of building a company and establishing a network of opportunities for technology development and commercialization.
